The word Gallicantu is Latin for “cock’s crow.” It commemorates the biblical story of the apostle Peter’s 3-fold denial of Jesus found in Matthew 26:30-35 & 26:69-75, and parallels in the Gospels of Mark & Luke. The Latin on the arch is from Psalm 121:8.  For other takes on this week’s Thursday Doors Challenge, click here.
