What the world needs now is love, sweet love, it's the only thing that there's just too little of. What the world needs now is love, sweet love, no, not just for some, but for everyone. -Lyrics by Hal David, sung by Jackie DeShannon. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. (John 3:16)

  1. what a great take on the challenge! and how lovely to see your Mom at her 90th. my mom celebrated her 90th a couple of weeks before Christmas last year as well, and there were about 140 family members, neighbours and friends who attended. she even provided some of the baking, even though we tried to tell her she didn’t have to. 🙂

as i was MC-ing the gathering, I did not take any pictures, however I am glad that other cameras were there, and i am happy to have a few moments of that memorable occasion.

my mom is able to live on her own, and although her back has been bothering her, she is still able to manage, and she has a garden in the back yard. she even canned about 6 jars of beans, in addition to having some for fresh meals and sharing some of them with neighbours and friends. she attributes her health to God’s goodness and faithfulness, and is grateful for every new day that she is able to enjoy.

on a blog note, it was a bit challenging to find this post, since the URL provided only referred to your main blog. as a suggestion, to help others find you, you could use the URL link of the specific photo challenge post rather than the general dim lamp one, when leaving comments. but no pressure of course 🙂
